Optum Analytics is spinning up a team to build a cloud-based (and don'tcringe we know that's just otherpeople's computers) data storage and analytics platform. This platform willserve major businesses and customers across Optum.

This effort is one of Product Engineering and Data Solutions (PEDS) StrategicInitiatives overseen by the PEDS VP, and it has significant securityimplications. We're looking to bring in the talent to do this right. You'll bewriting Terraform (we practice 'Everything as Code') to spin up and managecloud native AWS tools including: S3, EMR, Glue, and Step Functions. Theseresources will be deployed via Jenkins pipelines into our AWS environments andthen monitored with tools like New Relic and Splunk. You'll be part of acollaborative team including not just the other members of this project, butworking cross team with our support, cloud infra, and security teams.

We're looking for someone who's passionate about cloud technologies and excitedabout using them on real world problems. We're looking for someone who canthink about these problems from an architectural perspective and who can watchout for security pitfalls.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement infrastructure as code for a cloud data intake andenrichment platform
• Mentor and collaborate with teammates

• AWS and/or Azure experience
• Experience with cloud or on-premiseinfrastructure and network security (i.e. DNS, SSL, routing, proxying, peering,firewalling)

• Terraform experience
• AWS IAM, EMR, Hive, Spark, SNS, SQS, and/or Glueexperience
  CI/CD for either on premise or cloud delivery
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Cross network data migration experience
