Lead a team of Demand Planning Analysts responsible for leading a cross functional collaborative forecasting process with the business units that drives to forecast accuracy objectives.
Meet service level and air freight spend objectives.
Participate in the development of the Supply Chain Strategic plan. Lead the implementation of the Demand & Service Management strategic objectives. Support the implementation of all other strategic initiatives.
Develop goals and objectives for the Demand Planning Team that support business needs.
Forecast Process
Create a monthly finished good forecast by leading a collaborative forecasting process with cross functional teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Channel, Finance, and others as needed.
Own and lead the customer collaboration process in the forecasting process driving process maturity with strategic accounts.
Lead the demand planning portion of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process as well as actively participate in S&OP meetings
Ensure relevant detailed analysis in the development of the sales forecast, including promotion, jobs, and new product introductions. Present the results, and ensure alignment in the supply chain and the business unit.
Measure the results of the forecast output as well as the forecast process. Manage the development of tools and processes that will lead to continuous improvement in forecast accuracy.
Service Management
Lead the cross-functional Service Management Team to meet quantity on-time fill rate objectives.
Manage and develop people, processes, and systems to create supply chain signal linkages that are clear throughout the supply chain from forecast development through customer shipment.
Lead the development of tools and processes to identify and react to demand and supply disruptions.
Develop, communicate, and execute service recovery plans
Continuous Improvement
Own and design the department's work in identifying, resolving, and finding the root cause to planning issues using the Lean/JIT, Six Sigma and 8D processes or other appropriate problem solving techniques.
Implement improvement efforts for the department's service and forecasting metrics.
Manage the department's Qlikview and QlikSense reporting and analytical applications; design global reporting and analytical solutions for the Demand and Service Management functional groups.
Lead and improve the cross-functional air freight process to meet budget requirements and stretch goals.
Develop and implement initiatives to make the end-to-end supply chain processes, procedures, and tools utilized by Global Supply Chain Planning more effective and efficient.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in various functions of supply chain management with increasing responsibility to include a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
Minimum of 3 years of forecasting experience with a track record of improving forecast accuracy and delivering results.
Minimum of 2 years of S&OP experience. Knowledge of forecasting and/or S&OP best practices
Certifications in IBF CPF or ACPF, APICS CSCP are preferred.
Experience in forecasting systems (SAP APO-DP) is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of SAP (APO and ECC), Master Scheduling, Production Planning and MRP.
Strong analytical aptitude is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and establish relationships with all levels of the organization.
Experience communicating with Senior Leadership (Executive VP, GM level).
