MBP is looking for a Senior Cost Estimator with significant experience providing cost estimating, specifically MEP, on vertical construction projects. Proficient with construction industry cost management software package(s).

Main Duties

• Performs quantity take-offs, pricing, and estimate deliverable development, with specific focus on mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing disciplines.
• Performs reviews and analysis of contractor and/or designer estimates, with specific experience in GMP arrangements.
• Develops and/or reviews change order requests.
• Assists with development and/or analysis of post-construction cost analyses.

Skills and Abilities

• Significant experience providing cost estimating on vertical construction projects.
• Proficient with construction industry cost management software package(s).
• Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
• Proficiency in reading/understanding construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with many software applications to include: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and an industry cost management software package.
• Proficiency with digital quantity take-off software programs (2D and 3D).
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Education

• B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Certified Cost Professional, and/or Certified Estimating Professional certification preferred.
