To schedule and register patients for services provided by Aultman Hospital, Aultman North, Aultman West, Aultman Carrollton and Aultman Orrville. To obtain all necessary clinical and billing information obtained from physicians, patients and departments. To coordinate department schedules and the chart for treatment. To verify the insurance and initiate the billing process.
Patient Access is the front door to the hospital and the scheduler/registrar sets the tone for the visit. He/she must provide professional, efficient, quality customer service.
Primary Responsibility:
Receive calls from physicians, physician office staff and patients to schedule patient appointments across multiple departments in four facilities, utilizing QES, QuadraMed Enterprise Scheduling system
Receive calls from patients and make calls to patients to obtain all necessary patient information, in order to initiate treatment and billing by completing data entry in MPAC registration system
Verify insurance coverage, utilizing RelayHealth insurance eligibility system
Utilize RQI, Registration Quality Improvement system to ensure accuracy
Provide professional, efficient, quality customer service in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures
Screen certain procedures for medical necessity and offer ABN if appropriate

Identifies and assists in process improvements
Positively represents PAS to all patients, families, and hospital staff

Working Conditions:
Monday through Friday; 7:00a - 6:00p (100% On-Site Position)
Sitting for prolonged period of time
Private cubicle workspace with professional office environment
May be asked to rotate to CVC for one week intervals
Co-ordinated lunch and break periods
