About the Department | Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) which is part of the College of Engineering (COE) and reports directly to the Dean, performs a primary economic development function for the state of NC by helping existing businesses industries better utilize current and emerging engineering, science, technology and industrial management approaches to improve their competitiveness. IES applies knowledge, information, and education to provide resources that serve the interests of customers by enabling economic growth and development. The Professional Learning unit of Industry Expansion Solutions helps adult program participants maintain competencies and gain valuable new skills to accelerate career growth and improved business performance. |
Essential Job Duties | In order for IES to expand open enrollment continuing education programs in Virtual and Face-to-Face format, IES needs an additional staff member to coordinate the day-to day functions of the program. This position will plan, and organize the processes related to the program, such as establishing registration links, providing customer service to course participants, ordering and shipping course materials, preparing classrooms, printing course completion certificates, and assisting with course closeouts. This position will also have knowledge of course prerequisites, how IES administers certificate programs, and how the registration and logistics team supports online coursework in Moodle (or other LMS systems supported by NC State University). They will serve as main contact, and problem-solve routine process and procedural issues. |
