Your Opportunity as the Senior Developer - Away From Home

Member of the Sales & Marketing Operations and Enterprise Analytics team supporting the Away From Home business. Under moderate guidance, designs, builds and supports software applications, integrations, and other related technologies.

Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Work Arrangements: Hybrid ~30% in office expectation

In this role you will:

Solution Support:

  • Provides troubleshooting and fixes for complex software issues

  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support new or revised business processes

  • Drives understanding of root cause, prioritization, and implementing fixes

  • Executes activities to support ongoing maintenance and release/version management

  • Suggests improvements to defined support call paths

Solution Delivery:

  • Delivers programming solutions on projects within a particular domain to meet business requirements. May own solution delivery for smaller projects

  • Provides input to work plans and estimates based on experience with development activities

  • Authors technical specifications for moderately complex solutions on projects. May own full solution design for smaller projects

  • Follows documented standards for development, code promotion, and change management. Instructs junior resources as appropriate. Shows independence and creativity when building solutions

  • Owns the design, construction, and execution of technical solution testing, including unit, integration, and performance tests. Independently troubleshoots and resolves defects

  • Participates in mock cutover exercises to prevent disruption and issues during go-live

  • Serves as a primary resource during go-live activities and post go-live support

  • Strives for quality and consistency in execution, providing feedback on what is working well, and what is not

  • Proposes improvements to overall development and support processes

  • Contributes to standardized code solutions and automation opportunities

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, specialized training or relevant work experience

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Experience with technical delivery in a formal development role

  • Experience with multiple phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience working on projects with assignment due dates and formal delivery methodologies and frameworks (Agile, Traditional/Waterfall, DevOps)

  • Knowledge and ability to build solutions across multiple development languages

  • Knowledge of enterprise toolsets for integration, reporting, process orchestration and/or scheduling

  • Knowledge of design patterns, with ability to develop solutions for complex concepts and requirements

  • Ability to unit test, troubleshoot and debug developed code, tuning for performance, and other optimization/scalability objectives

  • Ability to train and mentor other resources on technical topics and delivery techniques

  • Knowledge of modern IT concepts (Cloud Computing, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps)

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

  • Prior experience with Forge TPM, Salesforce CRM, Trade Planning, Supply Chain, Sales of Financial systems and business processes

  • Demonstrated experience with Amazon AWS, Java, PHP, HTML/CSS, MS Azure, Informatica IICS, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft T-SQL, Python, Lamba, APEX Integrations and Workflows, SOQL, and/or Unix Scripting

  • Experience in CPG industry and/or Enterprise Information Services organization
