Full Time

40 Hours/Week

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

On-Call Rotation

Onsite, 5 days/week


Summary:

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the daily operational management of the Pharmacy. Also, responsible for overseeing the
effective selection, orientation and in-service training of technicians and pharmacists. Provides adequate direction, education
opportunities and coaching to develop and improve staff performance and maintain appropriate documentation of all
competencies.

Responsibilities:

1. The development of the annual capital and operating budgets.
2. Assure functional compliance with applicable laws, regulatory agencies (including JCAHO), Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and
other governing bodies.
3. Oversees the packaging, labeling and distribution of medications to patients.
4. Oversees the departmental purchasing function.
5. Assumes administrative responsibility in the absence of a director.
6. Assess the accuracy and timeliness of pharmacists and technicians work concerning drug preparation, dispensing, and other
support (unit inspections, etc.)
7. Ensures an adequate supply of medications is available to meet patient demand.
8. Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise
1. Experience in automatic dispensing system.
2. Experience with EPIC systems.
3. Must have a clean driving record and be able to be insured on the hospital's auto insurance plan.
4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor degree in Pharmacy with Pharm D.
2. PGY I required PGY 2 preferred.
3. Certification: Current license from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
4. Years of experience supervising: Minimum 2 years of hospital management required.
