DLZ Currently has a Civil Engineer opportunity in Cleveland, OH.

Duties: Perform civil engineering, construction, and design assignments of a varied nature, requiring a solid grasp of civil engineering theory and the exercise of professional judgment. Design structures, systems and equipment items of moderate complexity. Coordinate with other engineers and technical support staff in the preparation of detailed drawings; review and check finished drawings. Prepare reports and conduct economic and operating feasibility studies and other studies aimed at evaluating alternative systems, equipment, materials or engineering methods. Prepare contract specifications. Conduct analyses of engineering problems and design deficiencies; recommend action to engineering management. Prepare construction cost estimates. Prepare proposals establishing the scope of work, man-hour requirements and schedules. Review contractor's shop drawing submittals. Assist in the preparation of client progress reports, as requested. Perform construction monitoring.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.2 years of experience as a Civil Engineer or related that includes the following: Roadway or transportation engineering; Use of engineering software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or Civil 3D; Preparation of civil engineering construction plans, including sheet preparation, roadway design, sidewalk and ADA ramp design, drainage, signing, and pavement marking, and traffic designs maintenance.
