Fairport Wealth is looking to add someone to lead the trading department of a growing firm. You will have responsibilities serving the multi-office enterprise. There is room to grow within the firm, as it grows. You will manage daily operations of the trading department, manage a small team of portfolio administrators, and influence over portfolio administration strategy and procedures related to the department. RIA experience is a big plus. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer. #LI-Onsite

What You'll Do:

  • Manage team of two (2) traders
  • Work in conjunction with Operations Manager and Director of Client Service to manage firm operations
  • Service department liaison to Investment team
  • Model setup, maintenance and management
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring Best Execution
  • Trade execution processes and procedures
  • Trading software database management
  • Responsible for portfolio administration across the Enterprise
  • Manage integration of acquired AUM
  • Maintain relationships with trading desks at custodians and Hightower

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 years of industry experience
  • Experience working on a trading desk
  • Experience managing a team a plus
  • Process oriented, team focused
  • Project management experience required
  • Experience working with portfolio rebalancing software required, experience with Orion Eclipse a plus
  • Critical thinking skills and an aptitude for independent problem-solving
