Advanced Software Engineer /DevOps

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure and services using platforms such as AWS.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Manage code repositories and version control systems using GitLab.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks for functional and non-functional testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly in the context of missile warning and tracking systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure automation.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps and security.

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
• Minimum 5 years of Ground operations experience.
• DevSecOps 5 years of experience with some of the following platforms/tools:
  1. AWS
  2. GitLab
  3. Kubernetes
  4. Docker
  5. Jenkins
  6. Ansible
  7. Terraform
• Minimum 5 years of CI/CD pipeline development experience
• Minimum 5 years of Test automation experience
• Minimum 5 years of Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, and operations experience

• Master's Degree
• Agile experience.
• Satellite communications knowledge
• Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
• Needs the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
• Extensive communication skills for interaction with executive leadership on items of significant importance (remediation, risk mgt., regulatory compliance)
• Extensive ability to present in clear and certain terms
• Subject matter expert in multiple fields
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Familiar with Agile philosophies and processes
